FREQUENT QUESTIONS
  • Is Cape Town just a city destination?

Cape Town is far from being “just” a city destination, and one of the many reasons that travellers choose to visit Cape Town is its abundance of scenic beauty and natural attractions. The city itself is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Table Mountain, one of the world’s Seven Wonders of Nature. However, attractions such as the scenic Cape Winelands, Cape Town’s numerous white sandy beaches, the Cape Peninsula and activities, such as whale watching and shark diving, are all found within a 2-hour radius of Cape Town. In addition, Cape Town is also considered South Africa’s culinary capital and is a veritable foodie paradise.

  • What are my transportation options between destinations on this itinerary?

Destinations are too far apart to be connected by road. Regular commercial flights operate directly between Cape Town and Windhoek, as well as between Windhoek and Katima Mulilo in Namibia’s Zambezi region, multiple days per week. Road transfers are available from Vic Falls, Livingstone, Kasane and Katima Mulilo to Nambwa Tented Lodge.

  • Does Nambwa Tented Lodge have electricity?

Nambwa Tented Lodge operates on 220 V Solar Power, 24-hours a day. Guest accommodation is equipped with a 220 V AC plug, which is suitable for hairdryers and the recharging of camera and video batteries.

  • Where do the safari activities take place whilst at Nambwa?

Guests traverse within the Bwabwata National Park, inside Africa’s largest conservation area, where over 80,000 elephants roam the plains. It is a birder’s paradise with 450 bird species to identify. Activities offered are both land and water-based.
