    WHY WE RECOMMEND THIS ITINERARY

Visit two of the most iconic landmarks in Africa: the Kruger National Park and Victoria Falls

    • While it is neither the highest, nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708 metres (5,604 ft) and height of 108 metres (354 ft). Victoria Falls is the world’s largest sheet of falling water.
    • Nambwa Tented Lodge boasts a viewing deck and an al fresco dining area with a large seated fire pit area, which is ideal for watching game on the floodplain below.
    FREQUENT QUESTIONS
    • What is the best time to see Victoria Falls?

All three destinations are considered “year-round” destinations, as each time of the year has a different appeal. Victoria Falls can be very hot and humid in October. The main rainy season for all three regions is between November and February, but even this period, which is known as the “green season,” is a wonderful time to visit. In the Victoria Falls area, the ‘low water’ period runs between August and January and is at its lowest between November and early December. The best view of the falls at this time will be Devil’s Cataract, which is permanent and on the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls.

    • Will I be able to see the Big Five in the Greater Kruger region?

The ‘Big Five’ is a term that was coined during the era of big game hunting in Africa. It was used to describe the most dangerous animals to encounter in the bush and includes elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. The Kruger National park area is one of few national parks in Africa where regular sightings of the Big Five are possible.

    • What about malaria?

All locations on this tour are considered malaria areas, and we advise the use of anti-malarial prophylactics year-round. Consult your travel doctor for advice at least three weeks before departure to Africa.

    • Is Wi-Fi internet access available?

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at all locations. However, due to the remote location of your safari destinations, access will be limited to sending emails and the use of instant messaging services, but not for media streaming. Many properties also make Wi-Fi access possible in public areas only.
